Managing diabetes is a juggling act - and juggling diet, exercise and medicine sounds, well... manageable, but toss in hypo- and hyperglycemia, self-monitoring of blood glucose, insulin and oral agents, exercise precautions, meal planning and exchanges, weight control... Whew... it adds up fast. And out in real-life, what your patients learn about managing diabetes may feel sleight-of-hand. How can you make sure your patients are ready for real-time?
Send them home with Balance Your Act- the step-by-step guide for adults to learn to manage their type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes. This 96-page book reminds patients how to place each part of their diabetes management plan into motion, building the foundation for a better, healthier and longer life. Balance Your Act is simply the closest thing to sending a great diabetes educator (like you) home with your patients!

I enjoy this book. I first saw it because one of my employers give them to clients with diabetes. Now that I am a diabetes Nurse Practitioner, I had to have one on file for my clients.
It is easy to read, has lots of pictures, and and above all very informative.
I will be purchasing more!!
